Channing has the absolute best Chinese food in Owen Sound. I have been eating here for years and never had food that wasn't amazing! The quality is fantastic and the price reasonable. I miss eating as their dining room closed during covid and I can't wait to eat again in person.

A gem in owen sound. Whenever we're in the area and want Chinese food this is our #1 choice and Channings restaurant never disappoints. Fyi take out only no dine in since the pandemic. We decided to eat our meal by the water nearby. Beautiful view and delicious food.
Great food. As a Chinese, I strongly approve the wok hei of this restaurant. We ended up eating here for every meal during our 3 day stay at Owen sound. Their price is also better than others nearby, though I did overspend a bit on soup due to how good it was. I have to mention their bok choy stir fry, it's probably the best I ever had. I not sure it's the technic of the chef or the choice of the Bok Choy, but it has a very mild bitterness that really enhances the flavor to the next level. Strongly recommend it. FYI, if you are Chinese, ask the owner for recommendations, as some of the foods are tailored to westerner taste and might not suit your liking.
Ordered veg stir fried noodles....as I was not having the menu at hand so that was the safest bet...after coming back to my hotel room I called them back to let them know that the simple stir fry noodle tasted soooo awesome and i regret not being able to order anything more.....the food and quantity was worth the money i paid for....

I used to eat here often 30 years ago when I worked next door to their previous location. Came back to OS for a family event a few weeks ago, and got takeout. I was greeted by the same woman, and the food took me right back in time! So good!
We come to Channing Chinese Food the second we arrive in Owen Sound. They actually make their own egg rolls ! The chicken balls any way you have them are also hand battered.everything on the menu is amazing . It’s a lot of people taking out/delivery but while waiting for our food 3 people picking up or making orders all said the same thing “BEST CHINESE / CANADIAN CUISINE” ever !!!! The owners are super nice and it always makemy husband and mine day to eat or take out from here! Thank you Channing !
